Through all the years I have made WordPress websites, I have tried countless WordPress Templates – both free and Pro versions. And believe me, there is a huge difference in quality, even when it is a pro version.

One should always look for the following when buying a WordPress template:

  1. When was the template last updated?
The template should be updated when there is a new version of WordPress. If it is more than 1 year ago that the template was updated, it does not look too promising for the future of the template.
  2. Does the template work in all browsers?
Check the demo version of the template in various browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Safari, etc.
  3. How effective is their support?
Try to check how often their support team corresponds to people’s inquiries. It is not good enough if you have to wait one week for an answer when you have a problem.

After being burned a couple of times, I decided to invest in a life time subscription with Elegant Themes – they have excellent quality and service.

Elegant Themes have recently made the most flexible (and easy) WordPress template I have ever experienced – named Divi. I use Divi to make almost half of my clients’ websites, as you can differentiate the template so that all sites have their own style.
